Released Iranian-American detainee talks about his experience

Freelance journalist Roxanna Saberi returned to the United States last week after three months in an Iranian jail. Two years ago this month, Iranian officials arrested mortgage broker Ali Shakeri of Irvine as he was boarding a flight home from Tehran. He had traveled to Iran to visit his dying mother for the last time. Authorities held him for almost five months, mostly in solitary confinement. They questioned him about his work on the community advisory board of UC Irvine's Center for Citizen Peace Building. Since his release, he took the risky step of returning to Iran for two court appearances to clear his name. The court has dismissed all charges. Ali Shakeri spoke with KPCC's Shirley Jahad about his experience being held in Evin Prison in Tehran.
