Hettie Lynne Hurtes has more than 20 years' experience in the radio news business, including more than a decade as a reporter and news anchor at KFWB.

Along the way she has also been: news/public affairs director at KRTH; morning news anchor at KTWV; a national correspondent for NBC Radio; a freelance reporter for CNN; and a national film critic at RKO Radio Network.

Hettie is also an actress, author, and producer; she wrote "Agents on Actors" and "The BackStage Guide to Casting Directors," and she produces original one-act plays bi-monthly for Drama West Productions at Barnsdall Park in Hollywood. She has appeared in movies and television, playing, among other things, TV reporters in "Terminator" and "Throw Momma from the Train."
