Talking Immigration with "El Jefe": Ernest Gustafson has been taking calls from undocumented immigrants for the past 18 ½ years as the host of the Spanish-language program, "Immigration 1330" on KWKW 1330 AM in Los Angeles. "El jefe" or "the boss," as he is called, opens the phones every Sunday night for three hours to give advice to undocumented immigrants on questions of citizenship and rights. Gustafson was district director of what was then the INS in Los Angeles before beginning his radio program. He still keeps up to date with ever-changing immigration policies.
