On the fourth and final day of the Republican National Convention, Kitty Felde sits down with Sherry Bebitch Jeffe, Senior Scholar at the School of Public Planning and Development at USC, to discuss Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's red carpet luncheon at Planet Hollywood; Congressman David Dreier's preview on the President's speech tonight; and US Senator John McCain's thoughts on the importance of California in this election.

Kitty Felde catches up with Newport Beach Congressman and chair of the House Homeland Security Committee Christopher Cox; LA County Supervisor Don Knabe; and Garden Grove City Councilman Van Tran who may become the first Vietnamese-American elected to the California Legislature. The UnConvention

From August 27 to September 11, six theatres in New York will present The UnConvention: An American Theater Festival, each featuring a piece of provocative, political theater. With the aim of mobilizing young voters, organizers will have roundtable discussions and workshops on political involvement, taking place August 30 through September 2 at Madison Square Garden. They will also include election literature in the performance playbills. Kitty meets with Randy Anderson, one of six producers for The UnConvention and playwrite of KtP.

Kitty Felde and Talk of the City continue their coverage of the Republican National Convention in New York City. Kitty is joined in the booth by Jay Carney, deputy Washington Bureau Chief for Time magazine as they comment on former California governor Pete Wilson's opinion of an up-and-coming Republican, current California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

On Day 1 of the Republican National Convention, Kitty Felde broadcasts her show with Don Frederick, Los Angeles Times National Political Editor, as her guest-host.

First up, Republican consultant and political strategist Allan Hoffenblum joins Kitty Felde at Radio Row to offer expertise on the GOP. He is the publisher and co-editor of the California Target Book, a multi-volume subscription service that tracks and analyzes competitive federal and state legislative races in California down to street-by-street analysis. When you think of a Bush supporter, who comes to mind? The old man with lots of money or a young punk with many tattoos and earrings? Youth Radio’s Enrique Rivera recently found out at the RNC that Bush supporters come in all shapes, sizes and styles, especially one group known as “Conservative Punk". Tactical Tensions
As the RNC gets underway, we’ll see how the widely hyped protests in NYC will play out, and who they will benefit – liberals or conservatives. Youth Radio’s Chelsea Vargas spoke with various Bush opponents before the convention to find out about the different ways they were planning to make their voices heard.

This fall, some of the nation’s hottest bands will launch a swing-state concert tour, hoping to use their music and popularity to support candidates. This election, the Republican National Convention is set in New York City from August 30-September 2. Youth Radio's Mike Oseroff asks the trivial question, "Why New York?" He says, "I, as well as tens of thousands of others, feel it is just an obvious attempt for Bush to highlight his 'heroic' War on Terrorism."

Iraqi War Veteran
Youth Radio's DeSean Robinson-Walker spoke to an Iraqi war veteran who was recently discharged from the Army after serving six months as a military police officer at Abu Ghraib Prison in Baghdad. She is in New York this week protesting the war, fighting for democracy and voicing her opinions against the Bush Administration.
