Los Angeles (July 25, 2006) - 89.3 KPCC reporters have won two more national awards, this time from the Public Radio News Directors, Inc., or PRNDI. This raises 89.3 KPCC's award total for 2006 to twenty-five.
Adolfo Guzman Lopez won First Place in the News Feature category, for his report on an undocumented family's daily life in Los Angeles. His story was part of KPCC's special week of coverage on illegal immigration in June, 2005.
Environment Reporter Ilsa Setziol won Second Place in the Writing category, for her report on the Arroyo Toad. Both stories can be heard at www.kpcc.org.

89.3 KPCC has won more awards for excellence in journalism over the last six years than any other radio station in Southern California.
